Midweek Action in Europe

This would be a busy week in Europe with Carling Cup in England, Spainish La Liga and Serie A action.

All this are building for the big clash in the EPL between Man Utd and Arsenal this sunday.

Round up of the weekend action. Most of the big boys did their round with the exception of AC Milan, Inter Milan and Bayern. Overall it is a nice weekend of soccer action where the big surprise is 6-0 trashing of Man City by Chelsea. Whom would see that coming?

Tottenham should see off blackpool with speed to spare and giving Ramos his 1st win. But for Bolton, they are up against Man City who should be wanting to clear away the 6-0 trashing by Chelsea in the weekend.

As for Portsmouth and Blackburn, both are on a good run of form. Hence should be close one with Blackburn maybe nicking this one.

Would Arsenal with its youngsters to defeat Sheff United? Very likely as they are all fighting for a first XI position.

With the visit of Cardiff, liverpool has a chance to rebuild their confidence against weaker opposition though the return of Fowler to his old hunting round would be interesting.

Chelsea should dismanthle Leicester with gas to spare. While Luton may prove a stiff test for Everton's small squad, my only major concern for an upset is here as Luton won 5 of 7 home games in League 1 so far and Everton are not good travellers.

Best Bet: Chelsea to win by a 3-0 margin.

1. First up is the new gaffer at Spurs, Mr Ramos is looking at bringing the glory days to Spurs with his style of attacking football. First up would the carling clash vs Blackpool later tonight which should be easy for Ramos to nick his victory here.

2. To France, where Cisse came to rescue of Marseille in the France Cup with his goal to take the game into extra time vs Metz where Marseille prevail on penalties to set up a last eight meeting with Auxerre.

3. Also in Carling Cup action last night was West Ham with 2 late goals against Coventry City to secure their passage into the next round.
