Some news with regards to the Arsenal vs Newcastle. Mr Wenger would be continuing his practise of blooding his young guns in the carling cup especially after their run to the final last season. But who would bet against them continuing off from last season and maybe winning the cup this season.

News out of Japan is the Yokohama Marinos are looking to bring Celtic's Nakamura back to Japan. However it would not be easy as Celtic would not want to lose a player of Nakamura's abilities.

And lastly news out of France, where Laurant Blanc of Bordeaux might be the one to wrestle the League 1 title from Lyon's hand after his side won against PSG 2-0 and are now second in the table. This would be a dream start to his maiden managerial career.
